This one’s especially for everyone who backed Rise of the Mafu during our crowdfunding campaigns. First off, thank you. You believed in this story when it was still just a spark, and your support helped bring it to life in ways we’re incredibly proud of.

We want to keep it honest with you. Over the past few months, we’ve had to make some important internal shifts. As we shared back in April, we restructured parts of our creative team and brought in extra support. One of our merch suppliers also didn’t meet our quality standards, which led us to remake a batch from scratch. At the same time, we ran into some unexpected technical challenges and have been supporting team members through health-related setbacks.

All of this meant that our original production timeline took a hit. While we’ve done our best to stay on track, we’re now looking at a new fulfillment window. We expect to begin shipping to backers by the end of Q3 2025.

We know delays are never easy. But rather than rushing the process, we’re choosing to make this book the best it can be. No shortcuts. No compromise. This story deserves that level of care, and so do you.

There’s also something exciting to share. The graphic novel is expanding. Originally set to feature 60 pages of story, Rise of the Mafu will now come closer to 70 pages. That means more world, more art, and more time inside the universe that you’ve helped bring into being. We’re using this extra time not just to catch up but to grow.
